CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec 26, 2023 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)
arrested two alleged drug peddlers with four kilograms of hemp from
Gomostapur upazila here last night.

The arrested were identified as Md. Ismail, 48, of Sarburuj village under
Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district and Md. Jalal Uddin, 35, of
Chandpur village under Tanore upazila in Rajshahi district.
 
RAB said, acting on secret information, an operation team of the RAB-5 from
Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid at Dhulauri village under Rohonpur
union of Gomostapur upazila around 7.30 pm and nabbed the duo with the
contraband drugs.

Later, the elite force handed them over to the police of Gomostapur thana
with a case, the sources added.
