TANGAIL, Dec 26, 2023 (BSS) - A boy and his grandmother were killed and four

others injured in a multiple-vehicle collision which included a truck, bus
and CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Kalihati upazila of the district today.

The deceased were identified as Abdullah, 10, hailed from Tatihara village in
Kalihati Upazila and his grandmother Hiramon, 75. One Sohel Rana is
Abdullah's father.

Local people said the accident occurred this noon at Chatipara in Kalihati
municipality area on Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway. Abdullah died on the spot
while Hiramon succumbed to her injuries at Kalihati Upazila Health Complex.

Injured people were admitted to Tangail General Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Kalihati Thana Kamrul Faruk said the bodies were handed
over to the respective family members.
