MYMENSINGH, Dec 30, 2023 (BSS) - Four members of a family died after being

electrocuted in Ghoshpala Purbopara village under Nandail upazila of the
district this afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Jamal Uddin, 32, his mother Anowara Begum,
65, and two minor daughters Faria Islam Anika, 04, and Fahmida Islam
Faiza,06.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nandail Model Police Station Abdul Majed confirmed
the matter.

The incident occurred when Jamal Uddin came in contact with a live electric
wire while charging his auto-rickshaw at around 3.30pm this afternoon. His
mother and two daughters also died on the spot when they tried to save him,
the OC said.
