JAMALPUR, Jan 2, 2024 (BSS)- Speakers at a post rally discussion here today

said Social Service Department contributed a lot for the welfare of marginal
people in the society.

They said incumbent persons of the department should discharge their duties
properly so that stakeholders can get their various allowances of the
government.

They also stressed on becoming vigilance and awareness to the concerned
officials to implement the social security net (SSN) of the country's common
people.

The meeting was held at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner with
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Md Moktar Hossain in the chair.

Deputy Commissioner Md Shafiur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police
Masud Anowar, Deputy Director of Social Service Department Raju Ahmed and
Senior Information Officer Jalal Uddin spoke, among others, at the meeting.

Earlier, a rally was brought out from Bakultala area in the town to mark the
day.
