KHULNA, January 16, 2024 (BSS)-Mayor of Khulna city Corporation (KCC) Talukder Abdul Khaleque distributed blankets and winter clothes among the poor and cold-hit people in Khulna city last night.  

“The Awami League government always stands by the side of the helpless and distressed people. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working tirelessly with a view to improve the fate of the poverty-stricken people,” Talukder Khaleque said this while distributing blankets and winter clothes among the poor people.

He said, each poor and destitute people in Khulna will get blankets and winter clothes by phases.

On behalf of the Member of Parliament of Khulna-2 Constituency Sheikh Salahuddin Jewel, blankets and winter clothes were distributed among the poverty stricken and cold-hit people in Ward No. 22 and 23 of Khulna City Corporation (KCC).

Among others, MDA Babul Rana, general secretary of city unit Awami League, Md. Munshi Mahbub Alam Sohag, office secretary, Md. Tariqul Alam Khan, executive member, Md. Faizul Islam Titu, general secretary of Ward No. 23, Md. Ohidul Islam Palash and general secretary of Ward No. 22, and leaders of various units of Awami League were present at the event.
