CUMILLA, Feb 1, 2024 (BSS) - A team of mobile court in a drive here today realised Taka one lakh as fine from the owner of a dredger machine, named Md. Monir Hossain, on the charge of illegally extracting and selling the soil from the crop land in Burichang upazila of the district. 

Sources concerned said the mobile court, led by Upazila Assistant Commission (Land) Shamiul Islam, conducted the drive in Purnamati area of the upazila, which was fined Taka one lakh for illegally extracting and selling the soil from the crop land this morning.

Members of the law enforcement agencies assisted in the operation.

 The fined was imposed for violation of the Balumahal & Soil Management Law-2010.

Officials and employees of Burichang Sadar Union Land Office, among others, were present.
