TUNGIPARA, Gopalganj, Feb 3, 2024 (BSS) - Jhalakathi District Krishok League today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

Leaders of Jhalakathi District Krishok League led by its President Advocate Abdul Mannan Rasul and its General Secretary Advocate Liaquat Ali placed a floral wreath at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

After laying the wreath, the leaders stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation.

Later, they offered prayer seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who had to embrace martyrdom on the fateful August 15, 1975.

A special prayer was offered seeking longevity of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members.

Jhalakathi District Krishok League President Advocate Abdul Mannan Rasul and General Secretary Advocate Liaquat Ali signed the visitors' book there.

Tungipara Upazila Krishak League President Md Milan Molla, its Vice President Sheikh Muktar Hossain and leaders and activists of Jhalakathi District Krishak League, among others, were present.
