JAMALPUR, Feb 7, 2024 (BSS) - Bangla Beckoning Language Day-2024 was observed amid various programmes in the district today.

District Administration and Social Service Department jointly arranged a discussion meeting, rally and prize distribution programme to mark the day.

A discussion meeting was held at the conference of Deputy Commissioner with Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Shitesh Chandra Sarkar in the chair.

Members of Disabled service and helping center and voluntary social service organizations took part in the programme.

Deputy Commissioner Md Shafiur Rahman, Deputy Director of Social Service Department Raju Ahmed, Human Rights Worker Zahangir Selim and UNICEF Representative Imtiaz Hossain spoke, among others, at the meeting.

Earlier, a rally was brought out from Dewanpara area in the town.
