BHOLA, Feb 9, 2024 (BSS)- A total of 2,000 blankets were distributed among the poor, cold- affected people living in Badarpur union under Lalmohan upazila of the district from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund this morning.

Member of Parliament (MP) from Bhola-3 constituency Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shawon handed over the blankets to the poor and cold-hit people as the chief guest at a simple function organised by Lalmohan upazila administration.

The blankest distribution function was held on the premise of the Badarpur Union Parishad.

Lalmohan Upazila Parishad Chairman Principal Gias Uddin Ahmed, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Touhidul Islam, Upazila Awami League General Secretary Fakhrul Alam Hawlader and Chairman of the UP Asadullah Melkar, among others, were present on the occasion.

Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shawon urged the rich people to stand by the cold affected poor people to reduce their suffering.
