BHOLA, March 4, 2024 (BSS) - Medical assistance cheques worth about Taka 23.50 lakh were distributed among 47 patients suffering from various complicated diseases, including cancer, in Sadar upazila of the district today.
 
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Tamim Al Yamin handed over the cheques among patients as the chief guest at a function held in the Deputy Commissioner's conference room organized by the Department of Social Services with Deputy Director of the District Social Service Office Md. Nazrul Islam in the chair this morning.
 
Executive Magistrate of the District Administration Shamsuzzaman, Assistant Director of Social Service Office Kazi Golam Kabir, among others, were present.
 
A total of 47 patients suffering from Cancer, Kidney, Liver Cirrhosis, Stroke, Paralysis, Congenital Heart Disease and Thalassemia were provided medical assistance. Each of the patients got Taka 50,000.
