CHATTOGRAM, March 8, 2024 (BSS) - A total of 17 dwelling houses were gutted in a fire in Ibrahim colony area under Hathazari pourshoba of the district today.

The fire originated from an electric short-circuit at a dwelling house in the area around 4.10am and quickly engulfed the adjoining houses, said Abdul Mannan, senior station officer of Hathazari Fire Service and Civil Defense.

Being informed, a fire fighting unit from Hathazari upazila rushed to the spot and put the blaze under control after a frantic effort at 6 am.
