GAIBANDHA, March 13, 2024 (BSS) – At least 98 ethnic students were provided with scholarship, by-cycles and cash money by the government in Gobindaganj upazila here.
 
The government assistance was offered to inspire the ethnic children for studying and help them run their academic activities to make them worthy citizens of the country in future, officials said.
 
The students got the support at a function arranged by the upazila administration at its conference room on Tuesday noon with Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Russel Miah in the chair.
 
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kazi Nahid Rasul attended the function as the chief guest and Deputy Director of Local Government Md. Shariful Islam was present as the special guest while Assistant Commissioner (Land) SM. Abdullah Bin- Shafique moderated the function.
 
At the function, 88 students received scholarship and the rest 10 students got by-cycles from the chief guest.
 
Upazila level officials, public representatives and local elites were present.
