CHAPAINAWABGANJ, March 14, 2024 (BSS) - Cheques of Taka 29,88,900 were distributed among 250 women trainees of "Promotion of Women Entrepreneurs for Economic Empowerment at Grassroot Level" project of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs yesterday afternoon in Shibganj upazila of the district.

Lawmaker of Chapainawabganj-1 (Shibganj) constituency Dr. Samil Uddin Ahmed Shimul handed over the cheques as the chief guest at a function.

Jatyo Mohila Sangstha organised the function at Shibganj Upazila Parishad auditorium with its president and Upazila Vice Chairman Sheuly Begum in the chair.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) A.F.M. Abu Sufian attended the function as special guest.

Among others, acting Chairman of the Upazila Parishad Golam Kibria, Upazila Social Service Officer Kanchan Kumar Das, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Engineer Ariful Islam and Bir Muktijoddha Tariqul Alam spoke on the occasion.
