BOGURA, Mar 14, 2024 (BSS) - Two pedestrians were killed being hit by an unidentified vehicle on the Bogura-Rangpur highway in Chandihara area under Shibganj upazila of the district this afternoon.
 
The deceased were identified as Jahedul Islam, 62, son of late  Faiz Uddin, resident of Chakpara  area  under  Shibganj upazila and Abul Kasem, 68, son of  late Mozahar Ali, resident of the same  area.
 
The accident occurred when an unidentified vehicle hit them when they were crossing the highway around 1:30pm this afternoon. The duo dead on the spot, in-charge of Kunderhat Highway Police Outpost Abbas Ali said.
 
Police recovered the bodies from the spot and handed over to their family members, he said.
 
Legal action will be taken in this connection, he added.
