GAIBANDHA, March 15, 2024 (BSS) - The World Consumer Rights Dy-2024 was celebrated in the district as elsewhere in the country and the globe with a call to protect consumers' rights anyhow everywhere.

This year's theme of the day was 'Smart Bangladesh Gori, Voktar
Sarthey Krittim Buddhimotta Bebohar Kori'.

Marking the day, district administration and Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection jointly chalked out elaborate programmes.
 
In the morning around 10am, a discussion was held at the conference room of the deputy commissioner (DC) here with assistant director of the directorate Afsana Parvin in the chair.
 
Additional district magistrate (ADM) Md. Mashiur Rahman addressed it as the chief guest on behalf of DC Kazi Nahid Rasul and additional police super Abdullah Al Mamun spoke it as the special guest.
 
CAB district president KM Rezaul Haque, journalist Sarker Md. Shahiduzzaman, district market investigator Shah Moazzem Hossain, brac representative Shafiqur Rahman, president of Gaibandha Chamber of Commerce and Industry freedom fighter Maksuder Rahman Sahan addressed the meeting, among others.
 
A large number of traders and leaders of GCCI, invited persons and journalists attended the function.
