BHOLA, March 22, 2024 (BSS) - A team of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP), in a drive, here today realised Taka 22,000 as fine from the owner of a semai (vermicelli) producing factory for various irregularities in South Joynagar union under Daulatkhan upazila of the district.

Sources concerned said the team, led by Assistant Director of the (DNCRP) Md Mahmudul Hasan, conducted the drive at Good Food Agro Semai Factory in South Joynagar union of the upazila and fined Taka 22,000 for making semai in an unhealthy environment and fake packaging.

The business establishment was fined Taka 22,000 for various irregularities and violation of the Consumer Rights Protection Act-2009.

Members of the law enforcement agencies assisted in the operation team.

The drive would continue in the district, Hasan said.
