BOGURA, March 27, 2024 (BSS) - A day-long workshop on 'Food Safety and Safe Food Act-2023' was held at Bogura Circuit House under the initiative of Bangladesh Safe Food Authority of the district today.
 
Md. Mizanur Rahman, Director of Bangladesh Safe Food Authority (Consumer Awareness, Risk and Safe Food Management Department) addressed the workshop as the chief guest where Additional District Magistrate P N Imrul Kayes presided over the workshop.
 
The chief guest said Bogura's yogurt has been recognized as a GI product. It is the responsibility of the traders of Bogura to maintain the quality of this yogurt. All traders should strive to ensure quality products.
 
He also said that there is no alternative to refraining from unsafe food. 

Additional Superintendent of Police Suman Ranjan Sarkar, Civil Surgeon of the district Dr. Mohammad Shafiul Azam, District Safe Food Authority Officer Md. Russell, among others, spoke.
