NOAKHALI, March 27, 2024 (BSS) - A construction worker was killed after being hit by an ambulance in Companiganj upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam, 35, hailed from Mohammadnagar village of the upazila.

Police said the accident occurred around 8 am in Mirbari area on the Basurhat-Dagonbhuiyan road when an ambulance hit Kalam, leaving him injured critically.

Injured Kalam was sent to Companiganj Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Companiganj Police Station Pranab Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
