MYMENSINGH, March 28, 2024 (BSS)- At least three passengers of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw were killed and three others injured after being hit by a bus on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway under Trishal upazila of the district today.

The deceased were identified as CNG-run auto driver Shariful Islam, 34, son of late Abdus Samad of Chikna Manohar area of the upazila, Rubaira Tajnim, 2, daughter of Enamul Haque of Rudragram, Bailor union of the upazila and Salman Azadi, 28, a resident of Bogura district.
 
Officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Trishal Police Station Chand Mia said the accident took place when a Sherpur-bound passenger bus of Sonar Moyna Paribahan from Dhaka hit the auto rickshaw around 10:30am, leaving minor girl Rubaira Tajnim dead on the spot and five other injured.

The injured were taken to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital, where two of them succumbed to their injuries, he said.
