PANCHAGARH, April 29, 2024 (BSS) - The day-long blood donate campaign, legal aid fair and prize distribution among the best lawyers were held in the district.

District legal aid committee arranged the functions on the occasion of the National Legal Day yesterday as a rally was brought out from the district judge court premises as part of the programme.

The rally paraded different streets of the town.

The theme of day was "Smart legal aid, Smart Bangladesh of Bangabandhu".

After the rally, a discussion was held where Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Johurul Islam addressed the function as the chief guest.

It was addressed, among others, by Police Super SM Sirajul Huda, Legal Aid officer and Senior District Judge Abu Sayed and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Zakir Hossain.

District Legal Aid Committee Chairman and District and Session Judge Golam Faruk presided over the function.

Rover scouts, different NGOs took part in the programme.
