JAMALPUR, April 29, 2024 (BSS)-An awareness building workshop on AIDS was held at Dr Nazrul Islam conference room at the Civil Surgeon Office here today.

Civil Surgeon Office organized the workshop with Civil Surgeon Dr Fazlul Haque in the chair.
Associate Professor of Bogura Shahid Zia Medical College Dr Saidur Rahman was present as the principal discussant at the workshop.

Director of Jamalpur Sheikh Hasina Medical College Dr Anowarul Amin Akanda, Assistant Director of Jamalpur General Hospital Dr Mahfuzur Rahman and Deputy Civil Surgeon of Jamalpur Dr Rafia Binte Rouf spoke among others at the workshop.

The speakers at the workshop said awareness should be created among the vulnerable people like transgender, sex workers and transport workers about HIV AIDS.

They also stressed on regular health checkup to the vulnerable people to control the spreading of HIV.
