BHOLA, April 30, 2024 (BSS-) - About 550 helpless and distressed people were provided free medical services in Sadar upazila of the district under the initiative of Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone today.
Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone organized the programme at Veduria Union Parishad under Sadar upazila of the district.
During the day-long programme, free medicines were distributed to the helpless and distressed people after health check-up.
Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone Senior Medical Officer Gynecologist Surgeon Lt. Commander Yasmin Akhter, Medicine Specialist Surgeon Lt. Commander Zahidul Islam and Staff Officer (Operation) Salahuddin Rashid Tanveer provided free health care service to the helpless and distressed people of the area.
Common people of remote areas have expressed their satisfaction over getting this free health services.
According to the Coast Guard, Bangladesh Coast Guard has been providing medical services to the underprivileged, poor and low-income people of the coastal and remote areas through medical campaigns.
