JAMALPUR, May 9, 2024 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested an alleged drug peddler with huge intoxicating injection in Dewanganj upazila of the district on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The arrested person was identified as Md Sohrab Mondal, 35, son of Shamsuddin Mondal, a resident of Khiar Durgapur village under Birampur upazila in Dinajpur district.
 
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Chikajani area of the upazila and arrested Sohrab. After searching him the RAB team recovered 990 pieces of Buprenorphine injections worth about Taka 4.95 lakh, RAB-14 sources said.
 
A case was registered with Dewanganj Police Station in this regard.
