SHARIATPUR, May 9, 2024 (BSS) - The National Nutrition Week-2024 began in the district like elsewhere in the country today.
 
Civil Surgeon of the district Dr Abul Hadi Mohammad Shah Paran inaugurated the National Nutrition Week-2024 at a function in the conference room of the civil surgeon office here this morning.

The inaugural function was addressed, among others, by Medical Officer of Civil Surgeon's Office Dr. Zahidul Islam, Deputy Director of Health and Family Planning Department Md. Masud Mamun, and Deputy Director of Islami Foundation Md. Abu Talha and Senior Health Education Officer of Civil Surgeon's Office Md. Mahbubar Rahman.

The Nutrition Week programme will continue from May 9 to May 15.

During this time, motivational sessions will be conducted in educational institutions and social institutions on maternal and child nutrition, elderly nutrition and adolescent nutrition.

The civil surgeon urged everyone to sincerely fulfill their responsibility to meet nutritional deficiencies in health protection.
