KHULNA, May 23, 2024 (BSS) - A mobile court seized 360-kg chemical-mixed shrimp from Bakchor intersection under Kotwali Police Station in Jashore district last night.

The mobile court also fined Taka 18,000 to a fish factory owner on charge of trading chemical-mixed shrimp locally known as jellyfish.

Being informed, the mobile court set up a temporary check post at Bakchar intersection on Khulna-Jashore highway to check fish carrying different trucks, said a press release.

The team intercepted a truck and seized 360-kg chemical-mixed shrimp after searching the truck, the release said.

Later, the court destroyed the seized shrimp.
