TANGAIL, Sept 24, 2021 (BSS) - At least three people were killed and one
was injured in a three-way bus, covered van and truck collision in
Dhalatengar area on Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway under Kalihati upazila
of the district this morning.

   The identities of the victims could not be known yet.

   Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station Shafiqul
Islam said the accident took place in Dhalatengar area around 10:30 am this
morning when the North-Bengal bound truck of Mofiz Agro Foods from Dhaka
collided with a Dhaka-bound covered van. At the same time, a Jamalpur-bound
bus from Pabna rammed into the two vehicles, leaving one dead on the spot and
three others injured.

   The injured were taken to Tangail General Hospital, where two persons
succumbed to their injuries, the OC added.

   The bodies were sent to the hospital morgue for postmortem.
