RAJSHAHI, June 13, 2024 (BSS)- 'Bhumir Pathshala (Land School)' began its journey aimed at generating smart citizens in the field of land services.
The land school has been inaugurated through a mass-awareness meeting to mark the land service week as per the direction of the ministry of land on the Paba Upazila Land office premises in the district today.
Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ahmed addressed the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest, while Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abu Selah Muhammad Hasnat was in the chair.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sarker Asim Kumar and Editor of Daily Sonar Desh Akbarul Hassan Millat also spoke.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Abhijit Sarker talked about the aims and objectives of the land school saying it's an important innovation of the land service week. Basically, it will build smart citizens through disseminating the overall knowledge related to the land services to the public in general.
Referring to the public sufferings centering land, Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ahmed hoped that the land school will play an important role in easing complexities land management.
It will also play a vital role in building a smart and developed Bangladesh by 2041 envisioned by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He also clarified that smart citizens, smart society, smart economy and smart governance are the four pillars of the smart Bangladesh roadmap.
Of the four pillars, strengthening smart citizens has become crucial as it's the precondition to ensure a smart society, smart economy and smart governance.
To this end, the land school will generate smart citizens through providing knowledge related to land.
On the occasion, prizes were distributed among the winners of a quiz competition organized for the trained students.
