JAMALPUR, June 24, 2024 (BSS)- A driver of brick carrying tractor was killed after being hit by a Dhaka bound commuter train in Islampur Upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon.

The victim was identified as Bhutto Miah, 40 son of Panawala at village Shashariabari in Islampur Upazila of the district.

Officer-in-charge, Islampur Police Station ,Suman Talukdar said brick loaded tractor was crossing a level crossing near Mosharafganj railway station when the commuter train from Dewanganj Bazar station hit it.

In the accident, Bhutto Miah was injured critically; he succumbed on the way to Mymensingh Medical College hospital at night.
