JOYPURHAT, June 27, 2024 (BSS) – One  young woman was killed  and another  injured when a stone-laden truck hit their bike on the Joypurhat-Dhamoirhat road in front of Mongolbari Moyez Memorial Degree College in Sadar upazila here today.
 
The deceased was identified as Zuthi Sultana, 22, daughter of Entadul Haque, resident of Imbarpur village of Sadar upazila.
 
The accident occurred in the area around 7am when they were going to Joypurhat train station riding a motorcycle.
 
Zuthi died on the spot and injured Maryam was sent to Sadar Upazila Health Complex, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Joypurhat Sadar Police Station Humayun Kabir said.
 
Police seized the truck, but its driver and helper managed to escape, the OC added.
