CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 30, 2024 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested one person and seized 5,500 yaba tablets from him from Gomostapur in Chapainawabganj district on Saturday afternoon.

The arrested person was Md. Shamim Talukdar, 27 of Panchbibi Rail Colony under Panchbibi upazila in Joypurhat district.

RAB said, acting on detective information, an operation team of RAB-5 conducted a raid at Tetultala village under Rohonpur union of Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district at around 4-05 pm and arrested Shamim with the yaba tablets.

Later the elite force handed him over to the police of Gomostapur thana with a case, the sources added.
