BARGUNA, June 30, 2024 (BSS) - Two people, including a woman, were killed in a collision between a microbus and a motorcycle on the Amtali-Patuakhali road in Dakterbari area under Amtali upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased were identified as Pushpa Begum, 65, hailed from Nishanbaria Gandabari village under Kalapara upazila and motorcyclist Rubel, 32, a resident of Chowla village in Amtali upazila of the district.

The woman was returning home along with the dead body of her son, who died under treatment last night at Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital, boarded on the freezer van (ambulance).

Police said the accident occurred around 10 am in the area. Both of them died on the spot.

Police recovered the bodies and kept them in Amtali Police Station.
