MEHERPUR, July 2, 2024 (BSS) - A total of 30 sewing machines and cash Taka eight lakh and four thousand were distributed among distressed people in the town today after a training programme.

Deputy Commissioner Md Shamim Hasan distributed the machines among them as the chief guest at a function held at the Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner this morning

Deputy Director of the district Social Services Department Kazi Qader Mohammad Fazle Rabbi presided over the function. Additional Police Super Abdul Karim, district social service officer Kazi Md Abul Monsur, Chairman of Jatiya Mohila Sangstha Shamim Ara Hira, Information Officer Abdullah Al Mamun and district Deputy Director of Women Affairs Department Nila Hafiya were present.

A total of Taka 80,4000 was distributed among 26 underprivileged people.
