6,01,512 get first dose of Covid-19 vaccine in Rangpur


RANGPUR, June 28, 2021 (BSS) –  The number of first dose recipient citizens of the Covid-19 vaccine rose to 6,01,512 in Rangpur division with inoculation of 174 more people with first dose of the jab today.
 
Acting Divisional Director (Health) Dr Abu Md Zakirul Islam told BSS that the first dose recipient 6,01,512 citizens include 3,59,736 male and 2,41,776 female in the division.  
 
The district-wise break-up of first dose recipient 6,01,512 citizens stands at 1,70,351 in Rangpur, 44,649 in Panchagarh, 77,057 in Nilphamari, 37,622 Lalmonirhat, 46,409 in Kurigram, 49,643 in Thakurgaon, 1,12,764 in Dinajpur and 63,160 in Gaibandha.
 
“Meanwhile, 30 more citizens, including three male and 27 female of Rangpur district alone, were inoculated with the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine in the division today,” Dr Islam said.
 
With this, the total number of second dose recipient citizens rose to 3,88,650, including 2,47,680 male and 1,40,970 female, in the division.
 
However, none was vaccinated with the second dose of the jab in seven other districts of Panchagarh, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Kurigram, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon and Gaibandha in the division today due to vaccine scarcity.
 
“The district-wise break-up of second dose recipient 3,88,650 citizens stands at 90,192 in Rangpur, 31,753 in Panchagarh, 50,273 in Nilphamari, 27,920 Lalmonirhat, 33,769 in Kurigram, 37,459 in Thakurgaon, 78,830 in Dinajpur and 38,387 in Gaibandha,” he said.
