BOGURA, July 7, 2024 (BSS) - Two sisters drowned in a pond in Baropur
Modhdhopara Barobari area under Sadar upazila of the district today.

The deceased were identified as Himu, 5, and her sister Jannat, 3, daughter
of Habib, hailed from the aforesaid area.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Fulbari Police Camp Aminul Islam confirmed the incident
saying that both the sisters drowned in a pond next to their house as they
were playing beside it around 12 noon.

When the girls were not seen for some time, their family began searching for
them and later they rescued Himu and Jannat from the water body and took them
to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital where the duty doctor
declared them dead.
