RANGPUR, Sept 29, 2021 (BSS) – Some 1,27,410 more citizens were
inoculated with the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine in Rangpur division
on the second day of the mass vaccination campaign today marking the
75th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“Among 1,27,410 first dose recipients, 95,423 people were inoculated
with Sinopharm Covid-19 jab, 31,857 others with AstraZeneca Covid-19
jab and 130 with Moderna Covid-19 jab today,” Divisional Director
(Health) Dr Md Motaharul Islam told BSS at 8:50 pm.

With the inoculation of 1,27,410 citizens with the first dose of
Covid-19 vaccine marking the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina today, the total number of the first dose recipients rose to
37,49,326 in all eight districts of the division.

“The total first dose recipient 37,49,326 citizens include 25,22,434
people inoculated with Sinopharm Covid-19 jab, 10,95,291 with
AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine and 1,31,601 people inoculated with
Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the division,” he said.

Meanwhile, 13,219 more citizens were vaccinated today with the second
dose of the vaccine, including 12,714 with Sinopharm Covid-19 jab, 303
with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab and 202 with Moderna Covid-19 jab in the
division.

With the inoculation of 13,219 new citizens with the second dose of
Covid-19 vaccine today, the total number of the second dose recipient
citizens rose to 17,07,000 in Rangpur division.

“The total second dose recipient 17,07,000 citizens include 10,42,324
people inoculated with Sinopharm Covid-19 jab, 5,40,854 with
AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab and 1,23,822 people inoculated with Moderna
Covid-19 vaccine in the division,” Dr Islam added.
