JAMALPUR, July 31, 2024 (BSS)-Aiming to clean the town area new garbage carrying vans were handed over to the poor people at Jamalpur municipality compound here this afternoon.

Local Member of Parliament (MP) Md Abul Kalam Azad handed over 15 vans to the poor people who will lead their livelihood by carrying garbage in Jamalpur municipality area as chief guest.

Besides, municipality authority will install 648 dustbins in various places including hospital, educational institutes, bus stand, railway station and important crowded places to clean the town.

While speaking as chief guest, the Law maker said the van will help the poor people as earning tolls by the side of  speedy removal of garbage to make the municipality clean. He said the citizen of the municipality will enjoy healthy environment after working with the vans. He also directed the authority to work sincerely to remove the garbage to make Jamalpur town clean.

Mayor of Jamalpur Municipality Md Sanowar Hossain Sanu, ward councilors and staff of the municipality were present at that time.
