CHATTOGRAM, Aug 1, 2024 (BSS)-A 15 daylong subject-wise seminar, poetry reading, recitation and book fair on 'Bangalir Dhruvotara Bangabandhu' has began here today at Faiz Nurnahar Auditorium of Chattogram Academy in city’s Momin Road area.
 
Chairman of Chattogram Zilla Parishad ATM Payrul Islam inaugurated the event organized by Shoily Prakashan. The program will run from 6 pm to 9 pm every day. The topic of the today’s seminar is 'Bangabandhu's contribution to the spread of education'.

Terming Bangabandhu as the architect of independent Bangladesh speaking at the inaugural session ATM Payrul Islam said His life and works have been narrated in different articles, presented by speakers of different languages in different countries.

The Jilla Parisad Chairman said Bangabandhu was not only a great leader but also a role model and inspiration for all.

Professor Dr Selina Akter read out the main article in the inaugural day. Dr. Mohit Ul Alam presided over the function while Professor Rezaul Karim, Professor Hasanul Islam, Professor Kanai Das and Md. Mazharul Haque deliverable their speeches at the function in the first day.
 
Director General of Chattogram Academy Aminur Rashid Quadri delivered the opening speech in the seminar.
 
A total of 15 professors, writers, rights activists, researchers and artists from different area in the country will present their articles in the 15 day-long seminar.

The seminar will conclude on August 15 next.
