KHULNA, Aug 10, 2024 (BSS)- All general students of anti-discrimination students’ movement here today demanded immediate resignation of the Registrar Khondokar Mazharul Anwar Shahjahan of Khulna Agriculture University (KAU) on charge of different issues including ousting of students from the dormitory forcibly without considering their security, said a press release issued by Tahmid of the anti-discrimination students’ movement of KAU unit.

They also demanded to begin all KAU activities immediately.

Turning completion of 24 hours ultimatum, the Registrar did not submit his resignation to the authority concerned although time has over, the press release said, He (registrar) must to submit resignation within quickest possible time or he will face tougher movement.

Without syndicate meeting’s decision, the Registrar served a notice directed by the Vice-Chancellor to vacate KAU dormitory considering their security when they were involved in anti-discrimination students’ movement on July 16, 2024, said the press release.

The Registrar have created various obstacles against anti-discrimination students movement begins, said the press release, adding, he (registrar) had tarnished the KAU image through recruitment trade, government money swindling, women scandal and politicization in different times.

The Registrar become posses the post without fulfilling KAU service rules and using noncooperation along with general students applying influence of the previous ruling party leaders, the students threatened in dire consequence for his quick resignation otherwise he will have to face tougher agitation by the anti-discrimination students’ movement, the press release added.
