KHULNA, Aug 12, 2024 (BSS) - The leaders of Bangladesh Hindu, Bouddha and Christian Kallyan Front of Khulna city and district units today said that there were no incidents of attack at any temple in Khulna on communal grounds after the fall of the Awami League government on August 5.
They made the remark at a press conference at a hotel where Sattya Nanda Dutta, Secretary General of city unit Kallyan Front read out a written speech.
They also said that people, law enforcement agencies and Anti-Discrimination Students’ Movement have been performing duties at each temple in Khulna to prevent any attack on temples.
Sattya Nanda Dutta alleged a section of agitated people launched attack on some Hindu Awami League leaders for their involvement in misdeeds in the past.
District convener and joint convener of Kallyan Front Pradip Devnath and Ujjal Saha, assistant coordinators of Anti-Discrimination Students’ Movement Joy Baiddya and Priyanka Devnath, among others, spoke at the press conference.
