CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Aug 17, 2024 (BSS) - The 80th birthday of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was observed in a befitting manner in the district.

Chapainawabganj sadar upazila and municipality units of BNP and its associate bodies arranged a doa mahfil and discussion at the residence of former law maker and BNP leader Md. Harunur Rashid at Pathanpara in the town on Friday afternoon on the occasion.

The discussion was addressed, among others, by convener of Chapainawabganj district Krishak Dal and sadar upazila parishad chairman Md. Tosiqul Islam Tosi, convener of district Jubo Dal Tobiul Islam Tarif and organizing secretary of municipality unit of BNP Abdul Barek.

Later, a doa mahfil was held seeking early recovery of the BNP chairperson.

Chapainawabganj district unit of BNP also arranged a doa mahfil at Chapainawabganj Club.

It was also attended by the convener of district unit of BNP Md. Golam Zakaria, BNP leaders Sarwar Jahan and Ismail Biswas.
