RAJSHAHI, Aug 18, 2024 (BSS) - A group of students found Taka 18 lakh in unclaimed condition and deposited it at a police station in the city today.

Around 11.30 am, the students, including Akash Ali, a student of Singra Rahmat Iqbal Degree College, found a bag containing the cash money in a narrow path in Badra area.

Subsequently, they took the bag containing 18 bundles of Taka 1000 notes to Boalia Police Station and handed it over to police.

Masud Parvej, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Boalia Police Station, received the money.

Executive Magistrate Shamsul Alam and Warrant Officer of Bangladesh Army were present at that time.

OC Masud Parvej said the money will be submitted to the government exchequer after taking permission from the court.
