ISHWARDI, Aug 23, 2024 (BSS) - A case was filed against former MP Galibur Rahman Sherif and 71 Awami League leaders and activists with Iswardi police station here today over Jubu Dal activist Nazrul Islam murder.

Officer-in-Charge of Ishwardi Thana Monirul Islam said Nazrul Islam was killed in a clash between Awami League men and protesters during Anti-discriminatory Student Movement in Pashchim Tengri area on August 4.

Upazila Chairman Emdadul Haque Rana, Jubu League President Shirhan Sharif Tamal and municipality mayor Ishhak Ali Malitha, among others, were accused in the case.
