NETRAKONA, Sept 1, 2024 (BSS) - The 46th founding anniversary of BNP was observed here today through holding Milad and Doa Mahfil.

BNP observed its founding anniversary in a limited scale to support the flood-affected people and stand by them, the party sources said.

As part of the day’s programmes, the party flags were hoisted atop the office of Netrakona district BNP as well as other party offices across the district in the morning.

A milad mahfil was held at the office of Netrakona district BNP at 11 am today.
 
The front-rank leaders of Netrakona district BNP including, president of district BNP Dr. Mohammad Anwarul  Haque , general secretary of district BNP Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Hilali, religious affairs secretary of BNP central committee ATM Abdul Bari Dani, former presidents of district BNP Asrafuddin Khan and Advocate Nuruzzaman Nuru, senior joint convener of district BNP Advocate Mahfujul Haque and joint convener of district BNP SM Moniruzzzaman Dudu were present at the Milad Mahfil.

The milad mahfil was followed by special prayers seeking salvation of the departed souls of Shaheed president Ziaur Rahman and all the martyrs killed in the recent anti-discrimination student movement. Besides, munajat was offered praying for early recovery  and good health of party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
