CUMILLA, Sept 9, 2024 (BSS) - Two motorcyclists were killed after being hit by a covered van in Yasin Market area of Cumilla Export Processing Zone(EPZ) of Sadar upazila last night.

The deceased were Hasan Miah, 24, son of Majnu Miah, a resident of Narunda area of Tangail district and Masum Hossain, 29, son of Humayun Hossain, hailed from Banishanta area in Khulna district. They were workers of Cumilla EPZ.

The accident took place in the area when they were returning home after completing their duties around 9pm. Both of them died on the spot, said Kabir Hossain, in-charge of EPZ Police Outpost.

Police recovered the bodies from the spot and sent to Cumilla Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy, the police official added.
