KHULNA, Sept 10, 2024 (BSS) - Three construction workers died after falling from a 10-storey building in front of Boyra Women’s College under Sonadanga Police Station in the city today.

The deceased are Md Ashraful, 25, son of Sheikh Babar Ali of Moddhadanga Daulatpur area in Khulna city, Md Rabbi, 20, son of Fazlu Haque, a residence of Fulbari village under Debiganj upazila and Md Mamun, 20, son of late Haider Ali, a residence of Boda upazila in Panchagar district.

Police said some workers including the victims were working on the 4th floor of the under-construction building of the Tax Commissioner Office with a bamboo-made scaffold outside the building, said officer-in-charge of Sonadanga Police Station Md Waheduzzaman.

Suddenly, around 8am three workers fell down to the ground.

Later they were rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) where the duty doctors declared them dead.

The bodies will be handed over to their family members after post- mortem, the OC added.
