CHATTOGRAM, Sept 10, 2024 (BSS) – Two girls, died of dengue, while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Shakila Akhtar, 26, and Shanta Sardar, 20.
District Civil Surgeon office confirmed the matter to the news agency today.

Of them, Shakila was admitted to the hospital on September 9 while Shanta on September 7 with dengue fever. Meanwhile, 12 patients have been admitted to various hospitals in Chattogram with dengue fever this month.

So far this year, 714 people have been infected with dengue in Chattogram. Jahangir Alam the newly appointed civil surgeon of Chattogram district advised all to remain careful to stop the spread of dengue.
