NAOGAON, Sept 14, 2024 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Sutkigacha area under Atrai upazila of the district today.

The deceased was identified as Sajedur Rahman, 24, son of Azadur Rahman of Nandanali village of the upazila. He got married yesterday.

Ratan Islam, sister-in-law of the deceased Sajedur Rahman said the victim Sajedur got married yesterday. A port-wedding ceremony was going on at his house today. For this purpose, he went to Bhavanipur market riding a motorcycle to buy curd. On the way back home from the market, the motorcycle lost control and fell on the road afternoon, leaving him serious injuries, officer-in-charge (investigation) Md. Lutfar Rahman said.

Locals rescued him and took to Atrai Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
