CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Sept 18, 2024 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with two kgs of heroin from Godagari in Rajshahi district on Tuesday night.

The arrested person was Md. Saiful Islam, 42 of Chakgopal village under Singra upazila in Natore district.

RAB sources said acting on detective information, an operation team of RAB-5 conducted a raid at Godagari C&B intersection on the Chapainawabganj-Rajshahi highway around 9 pm and held an auto-rickshaw.

After searching, the elite force found the heroin from Saiful, a passenger of the auto-rickshaw, they said.

RAB later handed him over to the local police station and filed a case.
