29 AL men sued over vandalism in Tungipara 

TUNGIPARA, Gopalganj, Sept 19, 2024 (BSS) - A case was filed here last night against 29 Awami League (AL) leaders and workers of Tungipara upazila allegedly for vandalizing furniture of Swechchasebak Dal's president SM Jilani's Patgati village house.

Joint general secretary of Gopalganj District unit of Bangladesh Jatyatabadi Sramik Dal and nephew of SM Jilani Julkar Sheikh filed
 the case as the plaintiff at the Tungipara Police Station last night.

According to the FIR of the case, a group of AL leaders and activists of Tungipara unit AL on September 13 under the leadership Md. Nazmul Sheikh entered into Jilani's house and vandalizing chairs, tables and furniture.

Inspector of Tungipara Police Station Khandkar Aminur Rahman confirmed the matter.

Apart from this, the accused in the case also included 40-50 more unidentified persons including leaders and activists of the district unit, upazila Awami League and other organizations.
