JHENAIDAH, Sept 21, 2024 (BSS) – International Day of Peace-2024 was observed in the district as elsewhere across the country in a befitting manner today.

To mark the day, a bicycle procession was brought out from DC Court premises this morning and after parading different streets the procession was dispersed at Scout Building here.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Awal led the procession.

Later, saplings of different types of trees were planted there on the occasion of the day.

District Deputy Director of Local Government Division Rabindranath Rai was present, among others.
